About Warren County Criminal History

Warren County criminal records are divided among local and state custodians. Sheriff and jail files are kept in Indianola, court records belong to the Warren County Clerk of Court, and statewide history checks come from the Iowa Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Investigation. The Iowa Department of Corrections and Iowa Sex Offender Registry maintain separate public systems. This private site organizes those official routes so readers can identify the right record holder.

Why We Built This Site

Iowa offers several public access paths, but no single office holds every part of a Warren County history. The Warren County government gateway routes readers to the Sheriff's Office, which keeps its reports and jail records. The Clerk of Court maintains filed charges, orders, dispositions, and sentences in Iowa District Court. Iowa DCI operates the central criminal-history repository, while the Iowa Department of Corrections and Iowa Sex Offender Registry cover other records. This site brings together official portals, request methods, addresses, fees when verified, and agency contact details.

What We Cannot Do

Warren County Criminal History is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with an Iowa court, law enforcement office, county department, or state agency. Those limits mean the site cannot:

  • Provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, case, or expungement
  • Issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or other official copies
  • Submit a chapter 22 request, court petition, or agency form for a visitor
  • Run an official Iowa criminal-history check for another person
  • Promise that an agency's address, hours, phone number, or fee has not changed

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Warren County sheriff, Clerk of Court, or Iowa DCI.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes shown on some pages. Each provider controls its service, prices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports free public access to this site. Warren County Criminal History does not set partner charges or determine which records a partner returns.
